Since 2012, 'telling the story of China' has become an important strategy for expanding the global reach of Chinese media and enhancing China's national image, helping the West to re-examine China's national image. As this serious media image review campaign unfolds, we need to keep an eye on the effects of 'telling China's story' and how it is received in the Western world.
