Helen Sham-Ho, an alumna of the University of Sydney, is originally from Hong Kong, China, and emigrated to Australia in the 1960s to obtain her Bachelor of Arts and Social Work degrees from the University of Sydney.

In today's multicultural era, Chinese migrants in Australia are in an increasingly important position. The question of how to integrate into the local community after migration has become an issue for people to think about. In addition to this, the issue of multi-generational immigrant identity is also present in our lives. This talk will discuss how to connect with your ancestral home country as a descendant of immigrants, where to place "Chineseness" & "Westerness" ("Chineseness" & "Westerness"), and how to make your own identity.
